The Tarrant County Elections Administration is working through a backlog of voter registrations ahead of the Nov. 5 general election, administration officials said in a statement Oct. 3.

“With this being a Presidential election year, there has been a significant increase in the number of registrations. Tarrant County Elections is working overtime to process these registrations as quickly and efficiently as possible,” the administration posted on social media.

The release states that registered voters can see the status of their registration at www.tarrantcountytx.gov/elections. If a person selected the web opt-out option during the registration process, they will not be able to view their registration online.

Early voting for the general election begins Oct. 23 and concludes Nov. 1. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is Oct. 25. The final day to vote in person is Nov. 5.
