With all precincts reporting, Giovanni Capriglione won the Republican race for State Representative District 98 in the March 5 primary election.

Capriglione garnered 15,851 votes, or 69.58%, while his opponent Brad Schofield received 6,921 votes, or 30.42%.

He will run against unopposed Democratic candidate Scott Bryan White in November.

Unofficial results from Tarrant County show incumbent Giovanni Capriglione maintained the lead in the Republican race for State Representative District 98 in the March 5 primary election.

The details

Capriglione has 71.83%, or 9,647 of votes cast. Challenger Brad Schofield received 28.17%, or 3,784 of votes cast.

The winner of the Republican primary will run against unopposed Democratic candidate Scott Bryan White in November.
