A.J. Pontillo, Dianna Sager and Mary Humphrey have won their individual races for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD board of trustees.

With 45.57% of the vote, Pontillo secured his position on Place 5 with 6,386 votes. Sergio Harris received 41.37% of the vote with 5,798 votes, and Dave Stine received 1,830 votes, or 13.06%.

Pontillo graduated from Grapevine High School and has a daughter attending the district. Place 5 was previously held by Coley Canter.

Sager is the new trustee for Place 6. She received 53.38% of the vote with 7,430 votes. Richard Newton, who is a former mayor of Colleyville, received 46.62% of the vote with 6,490 votes.


With 33 years in education, Sager retired last May after serving 20 years as a teacher and coach at Colleyville Heritage High School.

"I'm happy for my teacher friends to feel like they now have a voice on the school board," she said.

Place 6 was previously held by Casey Ford.

Humphrey will serve as the new trustee for GCISD Place 7 after receiving 48.32% of the vote with 6,767 votes. Kimberly Phoenix followed with 44.75% of the vote with 6,268 votes, and Mark Wollin received 6.93% of the vote with 971 votes. Place 7 was previously held by Jorge Rodríguez.

Pontillo leads for Place 5 with 45.57% of votes, or 6,385 votes. Sergio Harris has 5,796 votes, or 41.37%. Dave Stine holds 13.06% of votes, or 1,830 votes.


For Place 6, candidate Dianna Sager leads at 53.38% of votes with 7,429 votes. Richard Newton follows behind at 6,488 votes, or 46.62%.

Humphrey remains in the lead for Place 7 at 48.31% of votes with 6,765 votes. Kimberly Phoenix follows with 6,267, or 44.75%, of votes. Mark Wollin holds 6.93% of votes with 971 votes.

This information is with 127 of 169 precincts reporting, according to Tarrant County elections.

Tarrant County has released early voting totals for the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD races for school board. GCISD had eight candidates for three seats—Place 5, Place 6 and Place 7.

For Place 5, the candidates are A. J. Pontillo, Sergio Harris and Dave Stine. In early voting, Pontillo leads with 46.42% of the total with 5,209 votes. Harris has 40.84% of the votes at 4,583 votes and Dave Stine holds 12.74% or 1,430 votes.

For Place 6, the candidates are Richard Newton and Dianna Sager. Sager leads with 5,487 or 52.67% of votes. Newton follows with 47.33% or 5,279 votes.

Mary Humphrey, Mark Wollin and Kimberly Phoenix are the candidates for Place 7. Humphrey leads with 5,487 or 48.95% of votes. Phoenix follows with 4,968 votes or 44.32%. Wollin has 6.74% of the votes at 755.
