The first week of early voting, which began Oct. 18, showed voter turnout in Tarrant County is below 2% ahead of Election Day on Nov. 2.

As of 10 a.m. Oct. 25, Tarrant County reported a 1.30% voter turnout with 15,763 ballots cast out of 1,210,620 registered voters. While most voting locations are reporting low turnouts Southlake Town Hall has been the busiest location, with over 4,000 ballots cast there as of Oct. 24, according to the Tarrant County Elections website.
On this year’s ballot are eight state constitutional amendments as well as a $400 million Tarrant County transportation bond proposition and a $116 million bond proposition to buy and construct a new criminal district attorney office in Tarrant County.

There is also a Carroll ISD special election for the vacated Place 7 seat and an open space bond of up to $50 million from the city of Southlake. The city of Keller is also seeking approval from voters to renew its Crime Control and Prevention District.

Tarrant County voters can vote at any designated county polling location. Polls will remain open Oct. 25-29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for early voting. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day on Nov. 2 as well.
