Monday marks the first day of early voting, and several ballot items will be proposed to voters in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake leading up to Election Day, Nov. 2.

Voters can cast their ballot at any Tarrant County polling location starting Oct. 18 through Oct. 29.

There are three locations in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake: The REC of Grapevine, Colleyville City Hall and Southlake Town Hall. A full list of polling locations can be found on the Tarrant County Elections website.

This off-year election cycle brings one local race and one bond proposal to Southlake residents. Two candidates are vying for the Carroll ISD board of trustees Place 7 seat, left vacant earlier this year following the resignation of trustee David Almand.

The city of Southlake is also holding an Open Space bond program, which, if approved, would allow the city to set aside no more than $50,000,000 to purchase land as part of the city’s commitment to preserving open, passive space.

For voters throughout Tarrant County, two bond propositions will be on the ballot.

Proposition A is calling for $400 million in bonds to be issued to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion within the county, in addition to a tax imposition to cover the principal and interest on the bonds, according to Tarrant County’s website.

The county’s Proposition B is calling for $116 million in bonds for buying and constructing a criminal district attorney office building and a tax imposition to cover the principal and interest on the bonds, the website stated.

There are also eight statewide propositions on the ballot for all Texans this year. A full list of the propositions can be found here.
