Nonprofit organization Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation distributed roughly $91,000 in grant money to 26 Grapevine-Colleyville ISD teachers to fund classroom projects, according to a Dec. 12 news release from the foundation.

Local businesses and community members donated the money to the foundation.

“We are giving out much needed money for our school district, delivering over $90,000 thanks to the generosity of this community,” GCEF Executive Director Meredith Martin said in the release.

The details

Some of the funded projects include $5,000 to add modern science and technology material to Timberline Elementary School’s library and $2,500 to purchase equipment for Grapevine High School’s forensics program.

In the 2024-25 school year, GCEF distributed about $43,000 in grants, according to the organization's website. Teachers must apply for grants and have their applications and projects approved by their campus principal.

Looking ahead

GCEF will begin accepting applications for next year’s grants in early 2026, per the release.
