The district announced the Carroll Education Foundation board will be accepting applications from community members to join its board for the 2025-26 school year through March 1.

The details

According to its website, the CEF helps to support teachers in the district in three ways:
  • End-of-year appreciation gift: A financial gift given to every classroom teacher, including Librarians, CARE, ESL and SPED teachers at the end of the school year. In 2024, teachers received $1,200.
  • Teachers of the Year: Each campus Teacher of the Year receives a $1,000 cash award and the two district-wide Teachers of the Year receive a $5,000 cash award as a thank you for going above and beyond.
  • Teacher scholarships: Cash scholarships are offered for teachers and para-professionals going back to school to further their education at an accredited university.
Besides joining the board, volunteers are also needed to help out at CEF events. Individuals interested in volunteering can email Brie Black at [email protected].
