The details
According to a district news release, the fair will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the GCISD Professional Development and Education Center located at 5800 Colleyville Blvd. in Colleyville. It is a free event that provides families and individuals with disabilities of all ages with resources.
The news release states that resources available at the fair include:
- Medicaid waivers
- Therapy/camp providers
- College programs
- Assistive and adaptive technology
- Financial planning
- Guardianship/supported decision-making
- Transition employment services
Four breakout sessions will also be held, according to the news release. They include:
- 9:15-10 a.m. - Guardianship: Rush to the Courthouse or Last Result?
- 10:15-11 a.m. - Financial Planning for Special Needs
- 11:15 a.m.-noon - College Options and Info
- 12:15-1 p.m. - Summer Camps Galore
