Grapevine-Colleyville ISD has numerous upcoming events to help students prepare for the SAT and get more information about federal student aid.

FAFSA help nights

According to a district news release, seniors who need help with their Free Application for Federal Student Aid can find it at two different free information sessions presented by Tarrant County College:
  • Jan. 29 - Grapevine High School Go Center
  • Feb. 5 - Colleyville Heritage High School Go Center
The news release states both events will run from 6-7:30 p.m., and Spanish-speaking staff will be available. Attendees are encouraged to create a Federal Student Aid ID before the meeting.

SAT boot camps

According to a district news release, all GCISD juniors will be administered the SAT at no cost during the school day on campus March 12.


Both district high schools will offer SAT boot camps from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates:
  • Feb. 1
  • Feb. 22
  • March 1
The news release states the same material will be covered at each boot camp, which includes:
  • Pacing and time management techniques for the digital SAT's unique format
  • Essential test-taking skills to maximize scores
  • Content review and practice focused on the most crucial question types
  • Approaches for building confidence and maintaining focus throughout the test
Each session will cost $30 and can be paid for through the links on GCISD’s SAT Boot Camp page, according to the news release.
