What you need to know
According to district documents, requirements for eligible students include the following:
- Must be a graduating senior from GCISD
- Must plan to enroll full time in an accredited college, university or technical institution the following summer or fall after graduation
- Eligible seniors are limited to applying for one elementary school, one middle school and one high school scholarship, regardless of the number of different schools they may have attended in the district
- All applications must be submitted online
District documents state all schools included in this application process have their own essay questions and their own system, committee and guidelines for reviewing applicants and awarding scholarships.
District officials ask that applicants not include any personally identifying information, such as parent or grandparent names, in activities or essays.
