The application for residents in the Carroll ISD school district to join the Carroll Leadership Academy Supporting Success will remain open through Sept. 30. The academy exists to provide residents with a "behind the scenes" look at how the district functions.

According to a district news release, CLASS, which was originally developed in 2008, exists to nurture the following core values:
  1. Partnerships with parents and community members, which are essential to enhance the educational experiences of children and to foster a united community around its public schools.
  2. Building collaborative community relationships based on integrity and character to benefit all students.
  3. Open dialogue, which is important to the challenges facing CISD.
  4. Having an informed public with an increased knowledge base to create community ambassadors who serve as a conduit to the many neighborhoods in CISD.
  5. Innovation must be encouraged to create an environment of continuous improvement, leading to high expectations of excellence.
