Carroll ISD made three announcements district families need to know before classes begin Aug. 13.

The overview

According to a district news release, the three announcements include:
  • Annual student verification is now open.
  • 2024-25 bus passes are now on sale.
  • New student device pickup dates have been scheduled.
The details

The news release states Carroll ISD parents or guardians—including parents or guardians of new enrollees—are required to complete annual student verifications for each of their students prior to the first day of school.

According to the news release, the process is completed through the district's Skyward Family Access portal. The verification process for each child must be complete prior to being able to view a student’s 2024-25 schedule or teacher assignment in Skyward.

Secondly, the news release states all bus riders must have a bus rider contract form signed by a parent or guardian and turned in with the bus rider registration indicating they will abide by the bus safety handbook. Bus passes will not be issued until a signed contract has been turned in.

According to the news release, 2024-25 bus pass fees are:
  • $350/year or $205/semester for an individual bus pass
  • $730/year or $415/semester for a family bus pass
The bus safety handbook and contract can be found on the district’s transportation web page. Bus passes can be purchased here, and routes for the 2024-25 school year will be available online Aug. 5.

Finally, the news release states students new to the district in grades 5-12 can pick up their student laptops at the CISD Admin Building, located at 2400 N. Carroll Ave., during one of the following times:
  • 10 a.m.-noon, Aug. 6
  • 5-7 p.m., Aug. 8
One more thing

The news release states parents or guardians of new students and their families are asked to complete the following steps within Skyward Annual Student Verification:
  • Sign the acceptable use policy.
  • Complete the parent orientation.
  • Pay the optional $75 annual device fee.
