Bryan Calvert was named the new principal at Colleyville Middle School at the May 20 Grapevine-Colleyville ISD board of trustees meeting. He replaces David Arencibia, who served as principal of the school for the past eight years. Calvert will begin his new role in July, according to a district news release.

Calvert is the principal at Bear Creek Elementary, where he has led the campus since 2016, according to the news release. Prior to coming to GCISD, he worked for Irving ISD in the following roles:
  • Assistant principal
  • Campus athletic director
  • Special education teacher
