The details

GCISD offers learning opportunities for students of all ages during the summer months. According to a district news release, the following programs are available:
  • Summer enrichment: three-hour courses in areas including art, sports, cooking, problem solving, reading, theater, math and science designated for students in grades K-6
  • Extended-day summer camp: offers a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, group games, community involvement, and organized clubs designated for students in grades K-5
  • Secondary summer school: designed for credit recovery and acceleration for students in grades 6-12
