Grapevine-Colleyville ISD families can start planning for college and careers by visiting GCISD's College & Career Night.

The event will be held Oct. 17 at Grapevine High School, located at 3223 Mustang Drive in Grapevine, from 7-8:30 p.m., according to a district Facebook post.

The event will provide an opportunity for students and families to visit in person with college, career and military recruiters from across the United States as well as district staff. According to the post, representatives from more than 120 universities, junior colleges and technical schools as well as recruiters from the military will be present.


What you need to know

For families wanting information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid—commonly referred to as FAFSA—that students will need to fill out to get financial aid from the federal government, high school seniors and their families are invited to attend one of the FAFSA presentations that will be held during the event in the Grapevine High School lecture hall.

According to the post, details about the FAFSA presentations are as follows:
  • The presentations will be held at 7:10 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
  • A financial aid specialist from Tarrant County College will be hosting the presentations.
  • The FAFSA application opens in December.
