Carroll ISD announced three possible graduation plans for seniors hoping to walk the stage at the end of the 2019-20 school year.

Plan A would have the class of 2020 graduate May 29 at Dragon Stadium, according to the district, provided that social distancing requirements have been lifted. Still, the event may look different than previous graduations: It may include spaced seating, sanitizing stations and face mask requirements, according to the district.

If Plan A is canceled, Plan B would move the graduation date to July 31. It would still be held at Dragon Stadium after sunset. Similar requirements to those of Plan A might be asked of attendees.

The third and final plan, Plan C, would be a ceremony without a physical audience, according to the district. Final details about how the modified ceremony would take place are still being discussed, but a district news release said that the lack of a physical audience does not necessarily mean Plan C would be a virtual ceremony.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced April 17 that Texas schools would remain closed through the end of the 2019-20 school year.
