At the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD board of trustees meeting Monday night, Huckabee & Associates presented an update on 2016 bond projects, including the district's multipurpose activity centers, stadium and Cannon Elementary School.

Gary Rademacher, representative with Huckabee, told trustees that construction will begin in February on the district's two multipurpose activity centers. The centers will be built at Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School. The facilities will be utilized by a variety of extracurricular activities and will include an indoor field, restrooms, a dressing area, offices, large meeting space, training room and weight room.

Trustees were also told that construction on Mustang-Panther Stadium's renovations will begin in May. The renovations, which are set to be complete in 2018, include new home-side restrooms, concession stands and spirit shops; improved accessibility; upgraded security; scoreboard upgrades and a new press box as well as a new historic appearance to match historic Grapevine.

Cannon Elementary is still in the design phase with bidding expected to happen in early April.
