Taxpayers in Carroll ISD have until Wednesday, Dec. 14 to take a facility planning survey, which will allow the district to obtain feedback from parents, staffers and taxpayers on what they would like to see in the potential bond election next year. Questions on the survey pertain to facility needs, technology, capital projects, managing enrollment and other district needs. Taxpayers wanting to take the survey can email [email protected] and provide their name and address to obtain one. To request a hard copy, call 817-949-7080. Last June, the Capital Needs Project Committee submitted its recommendations to the board of trustees for consideration. CISD began pricing projects and is now asking for input on the various projects. Currently, CISD officials are in the process of educating key stakeholders about the district’s facility plans and anticipate two bond elections over the next decade. The first election is tentatively scheduled for 2017 and will likely address years 1-5 of the facility plan. The second election would not be necessary until sometime in years 6-10, according to officials. The district has launched a website, www.carrollbudget.com, to explain the bond process and school budget.
