Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will have new dining options coming to terminals A and D.
During the DFW Airport board of directors' March 5 meeting, new and amended leases were approved for various concessions.
What’s happening?
In Terminal A, a lease with Mitchell Olsen Partners DFW LLC was amended for a quick-serve salad location near the Gate A pier for Mad Greens. The restaurant, with four locations in the Austin area, serves salad, bowls and wraps, according to its online menu. The restaurant replaces Salad and Go, which closed all its Texas locations earlier this year, according to previous reporting.
The Salad and Go location was the first of its kind in any airport, according to a DFW Airport news release from 2025.
Long story short
There were three changes approved for Terminal D.
A Great American Bakery Cafe location will be going in near Gate D34 and will be operated by Java Star Inc. According to board documents, there was a lease assumption from Host Java DFW, which operated The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at that same location. According to the website, it is a bakery and deli concept with locations in multiple airports in the United States.
Trinity Groves Bar, near Gate D2, will become Chili’s Margarita Bar, and the Trinity Groves Kitchen will be replaced by Chili’s Bar and Grill, which will include additional space for seating upon the connection of Terminal F, according to board documents. Upon completion, the rent will be reset with a 12-year contract with an expiration date of 2042.
The chain restaurant that started in Dallas offers fast-casual dining options, including wings, burgers, barbecue and sandwiches. Chili's has two other locations within DFW Airport.
One more thing
A lease renewal was approved for Aero DFW through July 31, 2030. According to board documents, Aero DFW handles bus maintenance at 1625 W. 19th St.
The new lease includes an initial three-year term and two one-year renewals for $1.9 million.
