Equipment and tool rental company Sunbelt Rentals is planning to build a 33,880-square-foot building for its Aerial Work Platform division as well as a battery energy storage system on its Grapevine campus.
The plans for the new building and energy storage system were approved by the city council and planning and zoning commission at the Oct. 20 joint meeting.
The specifics
The Sunbelt site in Grapevine is now 27.5 acres after an additional five acres were added earlier this year. The newly approved building will be the sixth on the site and is set to be constructed on those five additional acres, according to city documents.
The building will house the Aerial Work Platform division, which will be relocated from Arlington. The division includes equipment such as electric scissorlifts, scaffolding and boom lifts.
