What happened?
A sign on the door from C82 Commercial said the locks were changed due to delinquent rent. A spokesperson for the company said the lockout happened at the end of June.
The sports bar and grill posted specials on its now-defunct Facebook page as recently as June 24. That same day, Intermedius International, a real estate company in Farmers Branch, posted a video about a Grapevine sports bar for sale.
The location featured more than 20 different beers and had wall-to-wall flat-screen televisions to watch sports. The restaurant menu included burgers, pizzas and its “game-changing wings,” which are hand-trimmed to remove 95% of fat and gristle.
Knockout Sports Bar first announced it was coming to Grapevine in 2021, according to previous reporting, but did not open until April 10, 2023.
While the property has a Grapevine address, that particular tract of land is owned by the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, according to previous reporting.
