Portillo’s will hold a soft opening Dec. 2 and ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 5. This will be the seventh restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

The company is headquartered in Illinois and the menu features Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, crinkle-cut French fries and the company’s signature chocolate cake.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, which starts at 9:30 a.m., Portillo’s will present its charity partner, Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation, with a check.


The details

This location is approximately 6,250 square feet and features a rustic garage theme. According to a news release, this is the brand’s first-ever “restaurant of the future” design.

Design elements include:
  • A smaller-footprint efficient build offers seating for about 125 guests inside and seats for nearly 40 guests on an outdoor patio
  • Pick-up shelves
  • Grab and go area
  • Double drive-thru lane
