Southlake City Council approved a site plan for Bread Winner Cafe & Bakery during the Sept. 3 meeting.

The details

According to city documents, the request was to add a new walk-in cooler and standalone patio trellis for the Dallas-based company's new location.

The applicant was Chris Beardon, co-founder/managing partner at SBBC Hospitium, a hospitality group that provides guests with the ultimate experience in nightlife and dining, according to its website.

The SBBC Hospitium website says Bread Winner Cafe & Bakery serves hearty portions of eclectic comfort food with a Southern slant.

A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows work started on the building—which was formerly Miracle-Ear—on June 12. The estimated completion date for the $400,000 renovation is Dec. 31. The building size is 5,175 square feet, according to documents.
