Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream is moving into the former location of Buzzed Bull Creamery. Co-owner Ken Willis said the location was appealing for the Denton-based company since it was already set up as an ice cream store.
The company has locations in Denton, Corinth and Carrollton, and the ice cream is produced in Denton, Willis said. He said the factory can make 50 pounds of ice cream every 15 minutes. According to the website, the ice cream is classified as premium quality because it contains 14% butterfat. The website said the are more than 150 flavors of ice cream and the menu changes seasonally, ranging from 48 to 64 flavors at each location.
Beth Marie’s pints can be found in Central Market stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Willis said there are 10 licensees across the state. He’s been part of the ownership group since 2003, buying it from the original owners Dr. Randy Cox and his wife, Beth—the namesake of the business.
