Three Barrels Beer Garden will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its opening April 18.

Cindy Berlanga, director of operations for Ferrari's Italian Villa and Three Barrels Beer Garden, said in an email the beer garden is the third business owners Francesco and Jane Secchi have operated in this spot located next to their other business, Ferrari's Italian Villa. It was first called Ferrari's Flight before they changed the name to Sidecar Tavern.

Berlanga said this is Jane Secchi's "last hurrah" before she hopefully retires, and she wanted to make this a tribute to her father.

“As a young girl in England, Jane would help her father roll barrels down into the cellar of his pub,” the company menu states. “It was always three barrels because that’s all he could afford. ... We know her dad is looking down and is so proud of his ‘Janie’ for carrying on his legacy with a pub and beer garden in his honor.”

The beer garden supports locally owned businesses. 3 Nations Brewery, which is owned by Francesco and Jane Secchi's son Gavin Secchi; Hop+Sting; Deep Ellum; and Community brands are served. The food options include appetizers, pizza, pasta and salads.

Three Barrels Beer Garden is in the same building as Ferrari's Italian Villa and is separated by a glass door.

“We joke that Ferrari's is the business side, and 3B is the ‘let your hair down and relax’ side,” Berlanga said.
