K-Dogs, a Korean-style corn dog shop, opened July 6 at 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway, Ste. 323, in Grapevine Mills, owner Song Yi said.

The 1,362-square-foot location sells a variety of corn dogs and traditional hot dogs with flavors ranging from sausage and potato to melted mozzarella cheese and jalapeno. Customers can top them off with relish, onions, chili, Hot Cheetos powder and more.

Unlike traditional corn dogs, K Dogs uses rice flour for the batter instead of cornmeal, Yi said. The corn dogs have a bit of sugar and are then covered in panko breadcrumbs, giving a slightly sweet and unique flavor, he said.

The shop expanded from its original location in Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre, Yi said. As a Grapevine resident, Yi said he wanted to bring his offerings to Grapevine Mills after noting its heavy customer traffic.

“I’m just trying to bring new food to customers because we really wanted to introduce this different style of corn dog where we play with different variations,” he said.
