Versacor Managed Pest Solutions is expanding its headquarters in Southlake.

What's happening?

The company had a site plan for a 7,800-square-foot addition approved during the Southlake City Council meeting June 17. The commercial-only pest management company will add 33 parking spaces, as well.

The new addition will be constructed behind the existing 6,911-square-foot build that council approved in 2015, according to city documents.

Versacor Enterprises was established in 2009 by four brothers: Bryan, Jeff, Eric and Jason Eicher. The company opened its headquarters at 485 Cherry Lane, Southlake, in 2016.


Meeting coverage

A portion of a roadway was approved for a ceremonial renaming to Gary Fickes Way.

Southlake City Council approved the renaming of a section of FM 1938/Davis Boulevard from FM 1709/Southlake Boulevard to the north Southlake city limits to honor Fickes.

He served as the Southlake mayor from 1989-96 and was the in the Tarrant County Commissioner Precinct 3 seat for 18 years, retiring Dec. 31, 2024.


Also on the agenda

The Southlake Hispanic/Latino Organization, a nonprofit, will host a Hispanic Heritage Celebration Sept. 27 at Rustin & Family Park after obtaining a special-use permit at the meeting.

Viri Barker, co-chair and board member for the non-profit, said the organization had the backing of Kite Realty, which operates Southlake Town Square.

Barker estimated 3,000-5,000 people would attend the event, which will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with live music, vendors, cultural performances, programs and a kid zone.
