A little more than a month after a tornado hit the store, Sam’s Club was issued a building permit from the city of Grapevine.

The permit was issued by the city Jan. 27, according to city documents. The permit is for structural repairs at 1701 W. SH 114 to the shell building due to tornado damage from the Dec. 13, 2022 storm. The estimated cost of repair is $5.5 million.

Construction crews and materials are present on the parking lot, but Community Impact couldn’t get a confirmation of a completion date for the remodeled store.
