Officials said 2017 was a “banner year” for Grapevine economically, as the city landed nearly $1 billion in private investments and nearly 5 million in business square footage. These projects Grapevine City Council approved include Stand Rock Hospitality, which brings a state-of-the-art water park, hotel and convention destination near Grapevine Mills. Grapevine is also increasing its dining experiences with the addition of the award-winning Salt Lick BBQ.

Stand Rock Hospitality is working through final designs before construction begins. The council has been kept up to date on any possible changes and expansions to the development and water park. Salt Lick BBQ is finalizing design plans as it works with uneven terrain to add to its overall atmosphere.

What’s next

In 2018 dirt will start turning on several of Grapevine’s major projects. Ground is expected to break on the Stand Rock Hospitality project in 2018. The project will be built in two phases, with Phase 1 expected to take about 15 months to complete. Salt Lick is also expected to finish construction in late 2018.
