The health department announced that people who were scheduled for a vaccine appointment this week will receive either a call, email or text message with a new appointment slot. People must have an appointment to get vaccinated.

The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines both require two doses to be effective. The second Moderna dose must be taken 28 days after the initial shot, and the second Pfizer dose must be taken 21 days after.
As of Feb. 16, 261,829 coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Tarrant County.
