Tarrant County's daily COVID-19 case count rose by 72 as of April 27. There have been a total of 53 COVID-19-related deaths, with eight additional deaths since April 23.

The county has confirmed over 2,000 cases since testing began and has tracked 289 recoveries.

Grapevine has reported 58 cases, nine recoveries and one death. Colleyville has reported 19 cases, seven recoveries and no deaths. Southlake has reported 29 cases, seven recoveries and one death.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced April 27 a phased approach to reopening the state's economy, with retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters and malls across Texas permitted to operate with limited occupancy starting May 1.
