From an art festival to a barbecue cookoff, here are three local events happening this weekend, April 28-30. Farm to Fork Experience Guests go to Nash Farm on April 28 to experience the flavors of farm-fresh cuisine. The evening begins with a reception around the farmhouse. The reception includes stations with culinary creations from the kitchen garden, smokehouse, hen house and more, along with a selection of Grapevine wines. The evening also includes brief introductions of dishes by both the chef and farm historians. The Long Star String Band accompanies the dinner with 19th century music. 6:30 p.m. $100. The two-day event features a catfish fry and live music today and a barbecue cookoff on Saturday. For bystanders, plates of barbecue are available for purchase. The Southlake Women’s Club presents the three-day event at Southlake Town Square. The annual event, which starts today and ends Sunday, allows visitors to view fine art from throughout the world as well as from local artists.
