Colleyville will make exterior updates to several city facilities, including City Hall, the public library and the justice center.

Colleyville City Council approved plans to improve the facilities at its June 21 meeting. The council also approved a contract with 308 Construction LLC for $649,389 with a $30,000 contingency to make the repairs and improvements.

Project plans involve updating the exterior paint, cleaning and sealing limestone, refinishing steel railings, and repainting metal doors and frames.

Larry Wright, interim director of public works, said the last time City Hall had a face-lift was in 2014.

“City Hall is the face of Colleyville, and we need this done in a very timely manner,” Wright said.

Once a pre-construction meeting is held between the city and 308 Construction, Wright said the project should begin toward the end of July.
