3 candidates vie for Southlake City Council Place 6 seat

Christopher Archer has filed for the Southlake City Council Place 6 seat.[/caption]

The filing period for the Southlake City Council Place 6 seat ended July 10. Here are the candidates who filed:

• Christopher Archer, president of Associated Time, filed June 9. Archer is the Carroll ISD board president and has lived in Southlake for 19 years. For more information on Archer, click here.

Stephen Luhrs, an entrepreneur, filed July 10. Luhrs has lived in Southlake for two years. Luhrs has not provided a candidate website as of July 12.

Shauna Newman has filed for the Southlake City Council Place 6 seat.[/caption]

• Shauna Newman, an administrative assistant for Priority One, filed July 10. Newman has lived in Southlake for 13 years. For more information on Newman and her platform, click here.

The vacancy was left by Gary Fawks, who announced his resignation May 16 due to a job promotion.

The election will be held Sept. 9. Early voting will begin Aug. 23 and end Sept. 5.
