Due to the large size and number of uses in the shopping center, the property owner is requesting to utilize some wayfinding signage, or directory signage, to help customers locate the specific businesses situated within the development.
The development, which fronts Colleyville Boulevard, is approximately 275,000 square feet and contains a mix of retail, restaurant, office and other commercial uses. Some of the businesses include Studio Movie Grill, Market Street, Jumpstreet and Costa Vida.
The design will allow for up to six business names listed per sign face with an arrow pointing toward the direction of the business.
The proposed regulations would be similar to those allowed by the city of Southlake; however, the signs would only be available for major multitenant shopping centers with a minimum of 200,000 square feet of total commercial space and limited to four signs total.
