This week there are several meetings taking place, from Carroll ISD bond meetings to City Council meetings. Here are four things Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake residents need to know this week:

Carroll ISD hosts town hall meeting


The district is holding a meeting Tuesday to share information about the school budget and discuss the process to identify facility projects for a potential bond election in 2017. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the cafeteria of Rockenbaugh Elementary School, 301 Byron Nelson Parkway, Southlake.

Grapevine, Southlake and Colleyville city council meetings


Tuesday night, the cities of Grapevine, Southlake and Colleyville will hold its regularly scheduled meetings. Grapevine's agenda can be found here, Southlake's here and Colleyville's here.

Colleyville Center opens its door for an open house


The Colleyville Center, a special events venue, is open for tours from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at 5301 Riverwalk Drive. The event features caterer samples, new trends in table decor and a visit with event professionals.

Southlake hosts safety forum


The city of Southlake's fire and police departments will be a part of a safety forum where officials will discuss what the city is doing to keep residents safe. The forum will take placeat 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Town Hall Council Chambers, 1400 Main St., Southlake. Some of the topics discussed will be:

  • Perception of safety versus reality

  • What to expect in an emergency situation in your community

  • What you should do and how you should be prepared in an event of an emergency

  • Safety measures to consider before the holidays begin
