Toys R Us is relocating three months after opening in Grapevine Mills.

A sign was posted on the door in early January stating the toy store was temporarily closed. Trudy Creswell, director of marketing and business development for the mall, said the store is relocating to a vacant spot at the adjoining store.

According to previous reporting, Toys R Us held a grand opening on Sept. 20 at Suite 432, a space that was formerly occupied by Skechers, which moved to a new location in early 2025.

Toys R Us sells plush animals, Legos, board games, Hot Wheels, Funko pops, Barbies and more.

The new location will be moving into a spot that was Dickies Clearance Store, until it closed on Nov. 24, according to previous reporting.

Toys R Us returned to the mall for the brand that closed its doors in March 2018 when the company closed all 735 United States stores, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

Under new ownership, Toys R Us has started opening stores, including a pop-up location inside Macy’s Backstage, inside Suite 127, at Grapevine Mills in the fall of 2022.
