BrightStar Care, a home care service, has expanded its footprint to Grapevine and the Southlake/Keller area and is already working with clients.

The details

New owners James Muench and his wife, Helen, started the new services in May. BrightStar Care offers a full continuum of care to those in the community, including companion care, personal care and medical staffing.

BrightStar Care also offers skilled medical services, such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, skilled therapy and counseling.

“BrightStar Care sets itself apart in a few ways,” James Muench said. “We have a full-time director of nursing on staff, personally overseeing even the simplest of cases. The company is also Joint Commission accredited, which means that we meet hospital-level standards for quality and safety.”

While the Grapevine and Southlake/Keller locations are open for business, the Muenches said they are allowing employees to work remotely until the fall to find additional office space in the area that suits their needs.

The backstory

James and Helen Muench became owners of the BrightStar Care location in Flower Mound in March 2024. James Muench has 14 years of experience as a Fortune 500 executive specializing in overseas business development and served in the U.S. Navy Reserve, which is based in Fort Worth.

“Many of the clients we help are also veterans, another passion of mine, and we help them navigate [Veteran Affairs] to make sure they receive their full benefits,” he said.
