What's happening?
According to a Facebook post, Southwestern Parts & Services will move from Dallas after 40 years in spring or early summer. The most recent update stated the move is about two months away with an estimated relocation date in May.
The name on the temporary sign shows Southwest Tackle Sale, which will provide a larger selection of fishing gear, according to a Facebook post. A service center will follow as well, making repairs to boats and electronics.
“We are excited and looking forward to the move where we can continue to serve the North Texas fishing community,” the post said. “This year is 43 years of being in business and we are so grateful to all of the customers and friends we’ve made.”
The backstory
The building that formerly housed Advanced Geodetic Surveys, Inc. is undergoing a total renovation, according to a Facebook post.
Southwestern Parts & Service is currently located at 605 W. Mockingbird Lane in Dallas.
