Girli Girl Boutique celebrated its 20th anniversary Nov. 29 with a “Pink Friday” theme and festivities.

What they offer

The boutique sells designer fashion for women of all ages. Girli Girl's collection includes dresses, rompers, T-shirts, sleepwear, shoes, bags and jewelry. Some of the designer brands include Lauren Moshi, Michael Lauren, Queen of Sparkles, PJ Salvage and BudhaGirl.

“We're different,” owner Kim Strickland said. “We're off the beaten path. We don't sell fast fashion or jewelry. It's all designer driven, so our lines are protected, so we've always specialized in uniqueness and quality.”

The backstory

Strickland opened her doors in 2004 when her daughter, Brianna, was 16. Now Brianna works full time at the boutique.

“We've always just thought that clothing is an expression of yourself, and we like to think out of the box,” Kim Strickland said. “We cater [from] tweens to women in their 80s because we've always had a generational buy with my daughter and myself.”

Before opening the boutique's doors, Strickland did pop up boutiques in people’s homes.
