What happened?
Mercantile on Main St., formerly Tout Goods, announced on social media it sold out of its remaining stock and closed on Dec. 22.
The store sold clothing, accessories, hair care products and jewelry, according to its Facebook page.
“Thank you so much for an incredible 3-plus years, Grapevine,” a Facebook post said. “It’s been an honor. Y’all wiped us out ahead of our scheduled closing date.”
The previous closing date, announced in November, was Dec. 24.
What else?
In the closing post on its Facebook page, the owners wrote, “Unfortunately, despite our best efforts we were unable to negotiate our lease for 2025.”
Texas General Store, Mason & Dixie and House of Mo Boutique are all downtown Grapevine businesses that closed in 2024 or announced upcoming closures.
