Light Lounge is now open in Southlake.

In a nutshell

The business opened July 13 off W. Southlake Boulevard, according to owner Lisa Lyon.

Light Lounge offers red light therapy for those experiencing various mental and physical health needs. The lounge has medical-grade red light therapy pods, which are the only model of pods in the U.S. approved by the FDA, Lyon said.

“Light Lounge uses medical-grade and FDA-listed devices that research has shown are effective in treating a variety of clinical and non-clinical conditions. Light therapy in Southlake operates at the cellular level to reduce inflammation, strengthen damaged tissue and promote healing,” according to the company website.

What else?

The lounge includes 40 light therapy treatments, including de-stress, detoxification, post-surgery and weight loss, Lyon said. Different plans and memberships are available, including the chamber membership, which includes 24/7 access to the pods, Lyon said.

A ribbon cutting will be held Nov. 7 with the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, according to the its website.
