Hoppin’ Brands is set to bring self-pour beer options and food to Grapevine later this summer.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company will be opening in a location inside the The Shops at Grapevine Mills Crossing shopping center.

Hoppin’ will use a self-serve technology that will be linked to a wristband, which is connected to a debit or credit card, according to Scotty Kent, Hoppin’ Brands director of marketing and public relations. The cost is determined by the ounce and a pre-loaded amount for two or three drinks is loaded to the wristband, Kent said.

“We see it can be slightly intimidating [to self-pour] so we make sure our staff is helping everyone out and make them feel comfortable,” Kent said. “Our atmosphere is fun for everyone.”

The Grapevine location will have a full cocktail bar and kitchen, which will feature food items such as:
  • Burgers
  • Flatbreads
  • Texas poutine
  • Salads
  • Street tacos
  • Weekend brunch
Kent said that the company is accepting members of the Founders Club, which will give early access to the taproom and full cocktail bar before opening this summer. In addition, the space can be rented out for private events and the menu is available for catering, he said.

Hoppin’ will move into a location that was slated to be Tapville Social, but that location never opened.

The location will offer a mix of mass-produced beer, craft beer and locally-brewed beer as well, but also a variety of cocktail drinks.

“The shift is more local and while national beers are still popular, we noticed the younger demographic coming out of college is more into cocktails and mocktails and a little less beer,” Kent said. “They want something Instagrammable and postable.”
