Spark Labs opened May 20 in Southlake.

According to a company news release, this center is designed to ignite curiosity and empower the next generation of innovators.

“We are passionate about creating a space where children of all ages and learning types can explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) in a fun and engaging way,” Spark Labs owner Melanie Galaviz said in a news release. “At Spark Labs, kids will be challenged and inspired through hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and innovative programs that ignite their creativity and problem-solving skills.”

Through a diverse range of programs, children will, according to the news release, have the opportunity to:
  • Build robots and explore coding concepts
  • Conduct science experiments
  • Design and create with innovative technologies
  • Solve real-world engineering challenges
  • Develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
To celebrate the center’s grand opening, Spark Labs will host a series of free open-house events throughout the month of May.
