Principle VinFast is expecting to start selling Vietnamese electric cars this spring in Grapevine.

A news release stated there would be 12 new VinFast dealers in the United States, six of them in Texas.

"Leveraging the network of stores, market experience, and capabilities of leading U.S. dealers, VinFast will quickly deliver high-quality, competitively priced electric vehicles to consumers, along with outstanding after-sales policies,” David Duncan, vice president of Sales and Marketing at VinFast US said in a news release. “This establishes a solid foundation for VinFast's strong growth in the U.S. market."

Principle VinFast—located within Principle Volkswagen Grapevine—will sell the VinFast VF 8 and VF 9, all-electric SUVs, with plans to add the VF 6 and VF 7 models when they become available later this year, according to the news release.

A representative for the location said the business is waiting for its certificate of occupancy to officially open.
