The Cookie Bar set a tentative opening timeframe of mid-August in Colleyville.

The Cookie Bar will give customers the chance to make their own custom cookies and custard creations, business co-owner Sarah Reynolds said in an email.

Cookie bases include chocolate chip, peanut butter, cookie butter, lemon and honey sugar. Buttercreams and cream cheese frostings will be available. Homemade caramel, hot fudge, peanut butter, Nutella and marshmallow drizzles are also options. Topping choices include Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, toffee, streusel and cinnamon sugar.

Customers can also make custom cookie/frozen custard sandwiches as well as cookie and frozen custard sundaes.

“All of the cookies are made from scratch daily, are large and thick, and served warm,” Reynolds said. “Our recipes were all created by us and meticulously tested to have a balanced but mind-blowing flavor that isn’t overly sweet with a soft rich center and a slightly crisp exterior.”

Reynolds said she and her husband, Kyle Reynolds, chose Colleyville as the location for their sweet shop because the city is known to support local businesses, and they want to have ties to their community.

“There are also not many dessert options in this area of Colleyville, and we think this is a place with good opportunities for that,” she said. “We chose this location specifically because of its proximity to the movie theater, the fact that there are several restaurants in the vicinity, and Colleyville Boulevard is a main arterial street in Colleyville with good traffic numbers.”
