A recently approved permit filed in Grapevine will allow the RaceTrac located along FM 2499 to add additional pumps, fuel canopies and electric vehicle charging stations.

Grapevine City Council approved a conditional-use permit to allow for the changes during a joint meeting with the planning and zoning commission March 19. The new conditional use permit will amend the approved site plan filed in 2013, according to city documents.

Per city documents, improvements to the site include:
  • Eight new diesel pumps that can accommodate auto and semi-truck traffic
  • Two new electric vehicle charging stations, which have two vehicle connections spots each
  • Two new canopies for the diesel fuel and electric vehicle charging areas
  • Additional maneuvering lanes to accommodate semi-truck traffic for the diesel fuel area
No changes are planned to the existing outdoor seating areas or building that houses the convenience store.
  • Expected completion in late 2024
