Christy Lara, director of public relations for Albertsons, said the timing of a lease renewal for the Grapevine location led to a decision to “better serve our customers.” She added the Colleyville location was 1 mile away.
The Albertsons at 4000 Glade Road in Colleyville is undergoing a remodel and rebranding, turning into a Tom Thumb when renovations are completed, according to a news release.
Pharmacy prescriptions at the Grapevine location will be transferred to the location at Colleyville location, according to Lara.
The Tom Thumb at 302 S. Park Blvd., in Grapevine, will remain open.
