A permit allowing for the remodel and rebranding of Big Daddy’s Ship Store was approved during a joint meeting of Grapevine City Council and the Grapevine Planning and Zoning Commission.

The business is undergoing a remodel to Big Daddy's Cantina, a Mexican restaurant, that is set to conclude in spring, according to its website.

The approved conditional permit will allow the business to sell alcohol for on- and off-premises consumption. This will be supplemental to the business located within Scott’s Landing Marina, along with outdoor speakers, outdoor dining and a convenience store. The restaurant has space for indoor dining, a patio and a two-level deck.
