Hancock’s Senate Bill 21, which provides qualifications for delegates should a convention be called to amend the U.S. Constitution, passed the House in a 119-20 vote. The bill will be sent to the governor next.

Burton’s SB 5, which establishes new voter ID regulations, was sent to the House Elections Committee and approved in a 5-2 vote. It will next face debate on the House floor.

As chairwoman of the Senate Finance Committee, Nelson is co-leading the budget conference committee to resolve differences between the House and Senate’s budget drafts. She served in this capacity in the 2015 session.

Parker’s House Bill 23 to create a grant to fund programs for students with autism passed the House in a unanimous approval vote. The bill had more than 50 co-authors from the House. It will next move to the Senate.

Capriglione’s HB 20, which seeks to ensure best practices are used in ensuring contract oversight, passed the House in a 130-16 vote. The bill moves onto the Senate next.
